(yeah yeah I know, still no trim on the fireplace)

The flowers that we planted in the chicken coop garden are attracting some visitors.

So we got a shed for the back yard, and it kinda looks like it’s always been there.

This little cabinet has been passed around my family for decades — from my mom, to me, to my aunt, and now back to me — and it has found new life in the barn (as storage for board games).

George is busy judging us because we still haven’t finished the trim around the base of the fireplace.

Hey so we bought a desk and now I kind of have an office; also here’s my view (of the living room).

We’re turning the hay loft into my new office (since I’m going to be working from home). It’s otherwise unused space. There is no easy way to get up there, so we decided to try our hand a building a fixed step ladder. (We were a little worried about how it would look crossing the windows, but it’s not so bad.)

We actually put the fence around the flower garden a couple of weeks ago, but I just snapped a photo today. Still need to fix where it’s a little loose around the top, but hoping it will do the job. 

Now stay away please, deer. 

So, remember that big idea that I had about turning the former chicken coop into a perennial garden? We are one step closer: we just put in posts at the four corners. Next, we will wrap some fence around it to keep deer from dining on our flowers.

After many hours and many more expletives, the rock is on the fireplace. (That sh*t is heavy, man.)
