A look at the first-floor half-bath. The counter is a piece of live-edge wood, with pipes for legs. For storage, we just use a large basket underneath.
So, in July we found this sideboard. It was natural wood, with wood knobs. And since I’m not super great at taking before-and-after photos, I only have this to share. (The pictures are from Mac’s old-school-hip-hop themed first birthday party. #HBDMAC)
Anyway, we painted it the same gray as the gate-leg table. I picked up cup pulls for the drawers and faux glass knobs for the doors. I antiqued all of the new hardware (read: painted them with some brown paint and then wiped much of it off).
The scale and style are perfect for our open dining room.
We have many wild neighbors, and years ago, we tore the roof off of the milkhouse to one day make it a garden so that our plants and vegetables would not get devoured by deer (see the post about the milk house roof).
Well that day came, and now, we sprout!

First fire pit of the season. Almost spring.

So, we’re bad bloggers, that’s a given. And it looks like we’ll have even less time to spend blogging…
