The boys were whisper-quiet, which could have meant trouble, but this time it meant books.

(Our master bedroom and master bathroom are connected by an open hallway, so this is also a view of the living room from up there.)

We finally have doors on the bedroom closet! With wainscotting and trim, we built these barn doors to fit the space.

Also, here’s a couple of photos of our bedroom because have I posted them before? Probably not. I’m super bad at this.

Today, we replaced the door to the master bathroom with a sliding barn door. The hall outside the bathroom is tight, and this alleviates some of the Tetris-like maneuvers required to get in and out.

I really want to turn the foundation of the former chicken coop into a cut flower garden. But I think I basically just planted seeds for deer food.

Anyway, our laundry room / mud room gets a lot of traffic and could use a bit more storage. So, with some barn wood and left-over kitchen cabinets, we planned and built this guy.

Drawers on the bottom, doors on top, hooks for coats and bags, and a bench for wiggling on little shoes.
